Neal Technologies Corporation offers digital forensic services to companies and other organizations. Put simply, digital forensics is the acquisition and analysis of data stored on digital media or devices using tools and techniques that meet the highest standards for preserving the integrity of the recovered data. This includes adhering to the high evidentiary standards required for data to be admissible in a court of law or other legal proceeding.
Data Acquisition
NTC has an on-call mobile acquisition unit capable of
imaging over one terabyte of digital media in the field. We also have the only fully-equipped commercial facility for digital forensics in the region. Our forensicists can acquire an exact duplicate image of most common digital media and devices using write-protected, forensically sound methods. This includes most hard drives (PATA,SATA,SCSI), media cards in a variety of formats, cell phones and PDA's.
Data Analysis
Once a forensically sound acquisition has been accomplished NTC can then analyze the data image. A complete analysis can reveal information such as computer usage dates and times, internet surfing history, digital pictures and images, chat dialogs, and records of past emails. All of this information may be available even if the user has attempted to delete or hide it.

Using our state of the art equipment and software we can often recover the passwords for data files or bypass the password on a computer or device. Using recovered digital data we can reconstruct personal or commercial transactions or use analysis techniques to develop a verifiable timeline for a chain of events.
